5. Auditexcel: Excel tips

Best online Excel blogs: No.5 Audit Excel // PerfectXLI’m less familiar with this blog than the others on the list, but reading a few points I like the emphasis on making less mistakes and the blog felt very practical, while I wanted to include it I asked for a quote from the blogs owned Adrian Miric on the focus of the blog:
“AuditExcel’s focus is on practical ways to make your Excel work easier, with techniques that allow Intermediate users to perform Advanced procedures.”

JKP, run by Jan Karel Pieterse (an Excel MVP), might be a bit less known to some of our readers. All the more reason to give it a spotlight, especially for heavy VBA users and long standing Excel professionals this blog has some real golden nuggets and content pieces that are relevant to both experienced as well as inexperienced Excel users. The tone of voice used is quite professional, but this only helps to dive right into the practical side of how you can best utilize Excel

Quite possibly the biggest/most popular Excel blog around, Chandoo’s newsletters not only provide great information, they are also fun to read. With a pretty relaxed tone of voice and a clear love for Excel Chandoo invites you to be just as excited about Excel as he is. I’ve had the pleasure of interviewing him for our own Excel training and he has a super friendly presence and effortless professionalism to him that really shine through in his blog. This blog deserves all the attention it gets!

If you haven’t heard of Bill Jelen, or this blog, then you’ve been under a proverbial Excel Rock. It’s been one of the most popular and well respected places on the internet to access information and tips on Excel. I like the super practical nature of the blog, need to do x in Excel? Here’s how you can do that. A lot of it comes from Bill’s books which are also quite successful in the space, check it out for really practical solutions!

This company is owned by Liam Bastick, the funniest Excel speaker among the MVP’s and a personal favorite of mine. His content and blog is geared towards financial professionals. What really sets it apart is a big focus on Power Query/BI and not just Excel, but also the interactivity in the blog. You will be set challenges, learn about new features, and generally learn some pretty great stuff in a fun way about Microsoft tools.
